Overview
i2Clipart uses a session cookie for its working features, local storage for saved clipart and display preferences, and temporary browser storage for converter drafts. The live website also uses third-party analytics and advertising services. These technologies have different purposes and lifetimes.
The session cookie
I2CLIPARTSESSID identifies your browser session. It supports form-security checks, copyright-form verification, and access to the conversion results created during that session. The cookie holds a session identifier; the corresponding security and download information is stored on the server.
This is a session cookie, with no persistent expiry date set by i2Clipart. It normally lasts for the browser session, although browser session-restore features can retain it. Server-side session records may remain longer. A conversion download’s one-hour authorization period is separate from the lifetime of the cookie.
The cookie is configured so that page scripts cannot read it and so that browsers limit when it accompanies requests from other websites. When the site is served over HTTPS, it is sent over secure connections.
Browser local storage
Local storage is separate from cookies and is not automatically attached to every network request. i2Clipart uses it for these features:
- Saved clipart: the
i2clipart.saved.v1entry stores the artwork references and display details for the items you save. - Appearance:
i2clipart.appearanceremembers your light or dark preference. - Grid size:
i2clipart.densityremembers your preferred gallery layout.
These entries have no expiry date set by the site. They remain until you change or remove them, clear site data, or your browser removes them. Your saved collection does not automatically synchronize between devices.
Temporary converter storage
The converter uses the i2clipart-converter-v1 IndexedDB database and its drafts store for the source SVG file and filename, selected format and width, and any converted output file with its download name and size. This carries the current draft between the upload, editor, and download pages during the conversion workflow. Refreshing the editor or download page clears that draft and its reference, then returns to the tool starting page.
Session storage entries named i2clipart.converter.owner and i2clipart.converter.<format> hold the tab identifier, draft reference, and expiry information. Session storage normally lasts for the tab session, although browser restore behavior can vary.
Each draft expires one hour after its source file is chosen. The converter checks for expired drafts on load or use; choosing a new file or refreshing the editor or download page removes the current draft. Browser data can remain after its expiry until that cleanup runs or you clear the site's data. If the browser cannot provide this storage, the workflow uses temporary page memory and a refresh also starts a new conversion.
Verification and third-party tools
The ALTCHA widget used on the copyright complaint form is served by i2Clipart and verifies a challenge from our server. It uses the website session described above.
Analytics and advertising cookies
On the live website, Statcounter and Yandex Metrika measure visits and interactions, and Google AdSense displays automatically placed ads and ads in designated page areas. These services may use cookies or similar browser identifiers for measurement, advertising, and related service functions. Their storage and retention depend on the provider, its settings, and your browser controls.
See the privacy policy for the providers and links to their policies. You can use your browser's privacy settings to restrict third-party cookies and other tracking technologies. Google's advertising privacy information also explains its advertising controls.
The Share button only copies a link; it does not load a social-network sharing widget. Following an external link takes you to a website with its own cookie and privacy policies.
Managing storage
You can block cookies or clear cookies, local storage, session storage, and IndexedDB through your browser’s site-data or privacy settings. Blocking the session cookie can stop conversion downloads and copyright-form submission from working. Blocking local storage can prevent saved clipart and display preferences from being remembered. Blocking IndexedDB or session storage limits the converter to a temporary in-memory workflow; refreshing still starts a new conversion.
To remove a single saved item, use its heart button on the Saved page. Clearing all i2Clipart browser data removes saved items, preferences, local converter drafts, and the session cookie; it does not delete files you have already downloaded to your device.
