How to convert SVG to PDF

Keep supported vector shapes

Vector artwork can stay scalable in the PDF instead of becoming a single pixel image.

How artwork is transferred

The converter exports the SVG to PDF through a vector-capable renderer. Supported paths and shapes can remain vector content. An image embedded in the SVG is still an image; conversion does not trace it into editable vector shapes. Fonts and effects should be checked in the finished PDF.

Use the SVG canvas

The SVG page area determines the page that is exported.

Understand the PDF page size

The converter exports the SVG page area, including any blank space in the canvas. It does not automatically crop to the visible drawing. Very large canvases are normalized to a maximum of 4096 px on their longest edge, so check the physical page size if you are preparing a print job.

This tool converts one SVG at a time. It does not combine several drawings into a multi-page PDF or offer paper-size and margin presets.

Review the source preview

Check the drawing in the editor before sending it for conversion.

Preview and export differences

Choose SVG file, drop one .svg file into the upload area, or select Use sample SVG. The editor displays the original SVG so you can check its composition before conversion. That preview is not a proof of the exported file: the server removes scripts, external resources, and SVG filters, which can affect the result.

Open and share the PDF

Save the result and inspect it in your preferred PDF viewer.

After your PDF is ready

After conversion, use the Download button to save the result. Back to edit returns to the same SVG; Convert another SVG starts a new file. Where browser storage is available, a temporary draft carries your file between the editor and download pages for up to one hour after you choose the SVG. Refreshing the editor or download page starts a new conversion. Save your finished file to keep a lasting copy.

Open the downloaded PDF to review its appearance and page dimensions before sharing or printing it.
