A PDF is useful when you want to share a drawing as a document or send it to a workflow that accepts PDF. Preparing the SVG canvas matters: this converter exports the page area and does not ask you to choose A4, Letter, or margins.
Choose the SVG
Open SVG to PDF and select Choose SVG file, or drop a single SVG into the upload area. Select Use sample SVG to follow the flower example. The tool accepts one SVG up to 5 MB.
Check the original artwork in the preview. The sample's canvas is 640 by 480 px and includes space around the flower. That space is part of its page layout.
Review the canvas
Review the drawing and the surrounding area. There is no Image width menu for PDF and no paper-size or margin setting. If you need a particular physical page size, prepare that size in the source SVG before conversion.
Convert to PDF
Select Convert to PDF. The file is sent to the server, which creates a separate PDF. This example produces a one-page document.
The editor preview shows the source SVG, not the finished PDF. Scripts, external resources, and SVG filters are removed during processing. Review the output rather than relying only on the preview.
Open the download
Select Download PDF to save creative.pdf. Our example is 13,541 bytes with one 480 by 360 pt page. The comparison above is rendered from that actual downloaded PDF.
Open it in a PDF viewer and inspect the edges, text, images, and page dimensions. Before printing, choose the print scaling appropriate to your job. Back to edit returns to the source; Convert another SVG starts another file. Refreshing the page resets the workflow.
Common questions
Does the PDF contain a screenshot of my SVG?
Supported vector paths can remain vector content. The result depends on the source and renderer; embedded bitmap images do not become vectors.
Can I choose A4 or Letter in the converter?
There are no paper-size or margin controls. Prepare the intended canvas in an SVG editor, then convert and inspect the PDF page dimensions.
Can I combine several SVGs into one PDF?
This tool accepts one SVG at a time. It does not merge multiple drawings into a multi-page PDF.
What if I only need an image for a slide?
Use SVG to PNG to export a pixel image at a chosen width, with transparency support.
Your SVG is sent to our server when you convert. Download access expires after one hour; expired server results are cleaned up during later conversions. Read about file privacy.
